Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint al Hussein, Middle East & North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech) celebrates Orphans Day as the Platinum Sponsor, an event organized by the National Forum for Youth & Culture: Jordan Youth this Saturday in Zaha Cultural Center for Children.
HRH Princess Alia will be launching the event and will deliver a speech for the opening ceremony with the attendance of Eng. Omar Maani Mayor of Amman from the Greater Amman Municipality, and a number of orphans invited from across the Kingdom.
Bashar Hawamdeh CEO of MenaITech, the event’s Platinum Sponsor for the second consecutive year, said: “We must bear in mind that this initiative is a joint gesture from three separate entities; the private sector represented by us at MenaITech, the public sector represented by Zaha Cultural Center, and NGOs represented by Jordan Youth. We are genuinely proud to be part of such a collaborative effort for the sake of children and their right to happiness.”
Lana Abu Snaneh Board Member from Jordan Youth said, “This event encourages Jordan’s youth to participate in NGO-related events which will foster their abilities and increase both their sense of belonging and their self confidence in all aspects of life.”
The MenaITech staff will also be volunteering to help out in the games and activities that will be taking place. Mr. Hawamdeh added: “We wanted our company members to participate in this event to embody the spirit of youth helping youth.”
A variety of activities and competitions will take place which will build on both constructive learning and leisure. Awards will be distributed amongst the winning children towards the end of the day. Mais Momani, host of the children’s weekly show 'Ihna Hilween', is the Master of Ceremony for the event which will be broadcast live on Jordan TV.
