MenaITech participates in the 11th Convergence Summit, stressed the need to optimize the spread of broadband internetMenaItech
AMMAN— Building on its pioneering position in the Information Technology sector and its strategy that is based on innovation and intellectual property and to be up to date with the latest world trends in the field, MenaITech participated in the 11th convergence summit that took place in Amman early this month.
The summit was organised by Arab Advisors under the patronage of HRH princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan, president of Al Hassan Scientific City and the Royal Scientific Society in the period between June 2-3.
MenaITech, the Jordanian software company specialized in the development and distribution of Human Resources solutions, said that its participation in this summit is part of the company’s interest in developing the ICT sector and its keenness to interact with the expertise and participating pioneers and leaders in the field. Almost 500 participants took part in the summit.
Bashar Hawamdeh, MenaITech CEO took part in a session about the entrepreneurship environment which also focused on the startups and the successful models of companies and the expansion mechanism.
The company in this regard stressed that the approach and developments of the communication sector in the upcoming period will depend on data transfer, and the content service that depends on the broadband Internet provided by the third and fourth generation technologies.
This is also supported by an increasing usage of smartphones and devices among users.
According to MenaITech, these networks will change and create new opportunities for the programming companies as the company itself that has positively used this development to launch the first Arab platform based on cloud computing through its investment arms MenaIP. This platform enables the business sector to adapt and use four programmes specialised in the field of human resources management and business development.
The current edition of the Convergence Summit is of an importance as it comes at a time witnessing transformations in the sector in all levels, including the local, regional and the international ones towards more adoption of broadband Internet and its applications.
According to Hawamdeh, MenaITech was keen to take part in the Convergence Summit to get acquainted with the latest development in the sector and its trends. He also stressed that the entrepreneurship environment needs to be revisited to study both opportunities and challenges.
In addition, he underlined the importance of making use of the wide spread of the broadband Internet networks to develop new products and services in a sector that relies on content services and data more than voice services.
