MenaITech Sponsors University Undergraduate Students

As Part of its Human Capital Development Program

Middle East & North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech), an Optimiza company specialized in human capital software for the Arab region, is sponsoring two students for university undergraduate study in 2008 as part of its human capital development program.

MenaITech has sponsored two students to study Finance and Graphic Design at the Hashemite University and Balqa Applied University respectively for the September 2008 academic year. The candidates have undergone a thorough selection process to qualify for the sponsorship due to excelling high school average scores and their leadership qualities as main criteria.

MenaITech CEO Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh said, “Although we hear of CSR in abundance with a number of leading corporations setting great examples in their communities, we would like to refer to this initiative as more of a human capital development program that is contributing to the creation of successful leaders in the country, specifically in the Arab world, regardless of social class, race or gender.”

The sponsorship is based on three main conditions; the students should study in the fields of IT, Business or Finance, they have to intern in MenaITech during their summer breaks and they have to work for a minimum of one year in MenaITech after graduation. Moreover, MenaITech will regularly review their grades in order to maintain reasonable grades throughout their undergraduate studies.

It is worthwhile mentioning that at the end of 2007, MenaITech was acquired by Optimiza (Al-Faris National Company/ ASE:CEBC), a regional technology solutions and business consulting services company. With this step, Optimiza has become the owner of a wide variety of integrated solutions and services that enhance the performance of companies in the different sectors it serves including the telecom, banking, insurance, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare and government sectors.
